Abstract

ABSTRACT Welni Fitri Anggraini (April, 2020). Nursing care of Mrs. H with Diabetes Mellitus Type II in Kampar Kiri Hulu I Gema of Public Health Center. Scientific Writing Case Study, Pekanbaru Nursing DIII Study Program, Department of Nursing, Riau Health Ministry Polytechnic. Advisor (I)Ms. Ns. Nia Khusniyati, M.Kep, (II) Ms. Melly, S.ST. M.Kes. Type 2 DM is blood sugar in the body that is not controlled due to the sensitivity of pancreatic beta (β) cells to produce the hormone insulin which acts as a controller of blood sugar levels in the body. In general, there are two main categoriea of DM, namely DM type 1 and type 2. Type 1 DM is characterized by a lack of insulin production while type 2 DM is caused by the use of insulin that is less effective by the body. The purpose of this paper is that students are able to provide Comprehensive Nursing Care with the case study method conducted on Maret23-26, 2020.The results of this case study show that Mrs. H has Type 2 DM with three problems, namely nutritional imbalance: less than body requirements, ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion, and risk of injury. Suggestions for future authors Recommendations for future research are that this case study can be further developed for further developed for further authors on more complete nursing care to produce higher quality, more complete and beneficial nursing care for clients.
