Abstract

Cakupan ASI Eksklusif di UPT Puskesmas Selatpanjang belum mencapai target dimana pada tahun 2020 mencapai 52,5 %, sedangkan pada tahun 2021 turun menjadi 30,77%. Salah satu penyebab yang paling sering dalam kegagalan pemberian ASI Eksklusif pada bayi adalah persepsi ibu. Persepsi kecukupan air susu ibu adalah keadaan dimana ibu merasa ASI-nya tidak cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi ibu tentang kecukupan ASI dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di posyandu, ruangan poliklinik anak juga dirumah responden yang ada di Wilayah Kerja UPT Puskesmas Selatpanjang pada bulan Januari-April 2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang memiliki bayi usia ≥6-12 bulan. Jumlah sampel 92 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Purposive Sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji chi-square derajat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian didapatkan responden yang memiliki persepsi positif tentang kecukupan ASI adalah sebanyak 52,2% dan responden yang memberikan ASI Eksklusif yaitu 31.8%. Hasil uji statistic didapatkan ada hubungan persepsi ibu tentang kecukupan ASI dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Wilayah Kerja UPT Puskesmas Selatpanjang Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti(p = 0,016). Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat merubah persepsi yang kurang tentang pemberian ASI dan ASI Eksklusif sehingga saat setelah melahirkan ibu sudah siap dan yakin serta mampu untuk menyusui bayinya secara eksklusif.
